Group Classes

Beginner Obedience

Cost: $180.00/6-weeks

​Prerequisite: 5 months or older, or instructor recommendation
Materials: Collar, leash, treats, we recommend a treat pouch.

We provide a clicker (if desired) & homework handouts each week.

Included in this course

For dogs with no previous training, this class includes basic training such as:

  • Come

  • Sit

  • Down

  • Stay

  • Take It, Leave It, and Drop It

  • Loose Leash Walking

  • Shake

  • Roll over​

​We will address issues such as jumping, chewing, nipping/biting, stealing food, and socialization. Each class is 1 hour per week, same day and time each week.

Intermediate Obedience

Cost: $180.00/6-weeks

Prerequisite: Beginner/puppy class, or instructor recommendation
Materials: Collar, leash, treats, and a "Bed" (crate, mat, blanket).

We provide homework each week, and a treat bag (if desired).

Included in this course

​We add distractions and a more real life environment such as parks and events, and more commands such as:

  • Heel

  • Finish (return to heel position)

  • Go To Bed/Place/Mat

  • Wait

  • Spin

  • Relationship building games

  • Rally-O commands


​Build reliability to the basic commands through repetition, as well as introducing more commands. Build command reliability around distractions

Advanced Obedience

Prerequisite: Puppy/Beginner and Intermediate, or instructor recommendation

We are working on perfecting all ten elements of the CGC test, as the CGC is offered at the end of this class.

Our eventual goal is that dog must display each behavior the first time they are told, without the use of food/rewards/clickers, in a distracting environment, and to the satisfaction of the trainer.

Does your dog hide under the chair at the veterinary clinic? Does it have a hard time getting up on the scale? Try to "taste-tests" your veterinarian or technician when they attempt to trim it's nails? or maybe the groomer tacked on that extra "temperament charge" Whatever the reason this 6-week class teaches dogs husbandry behaviors to make your visits more pleasant. This is an "intense"-ly pawsitive course requiring weekly groomer/vet visits, evaluations, and lots of practice! This class is open for audit by veterinary staff and groomers.

The Pawsitively Great Canine Package

Therapy Dog Class

Cost: $180.00/6-weeks

Prerequisite: AKC Canine Good Citizen
Materials: Leash, collar and/or harness, treats

Included in this course

We break down the Therapy Dog Test and work on 1-3 sections of the test each week. This class involves a lot of repetition to ensure complete mastery of skills in order to go out with your own therapy dog.

  • Volunteer coordinators from different locations will visit and gives speeches about their program so you can get a feel for what's out there and which organization you'd like to volunteer for.

  • Get dogs used to wheelchairs, walkers, crutches etc to get the dogs used to being around medical equipment.

  • We will discuss the rules and requirements of different facilities involving therapy dogs.

  • Work on solidifying manners around crowds, individuals, and in buildings.

  • Discuss the differences between therapy dogs and service dogs​

Nosework Class

Cost: $180.00/6-weeks

Prerequisite: Puppy/Beginner or comparable skill level.

Scent Detection Service Dog Class

Cost: $180.00/6-weeks

Prerequisite: Puppy/Beginner, Intermediate, Advance 6-week classes, CGC
Materials: Collar, Leash, treats. We recommend using a treat pouch.

Included in this course

This specialized class is a intense class for the serious service dog handler looking to train their own Diabetic Alert Dogs or similar scent detection dog. This one of a kind class will include all the materials you need to gather samples "Scent Kit" as well as giving the CGC Urban Test the last week of class. There will be training logs that will be given and filled out each week. This is a specialized class that will require a time commitment outside of class time.

  • Rules & regulations surrounding service dogs

  • Theory behind scent work

  • Building scent memory

  • Pattern searches

  • Generalizations with different times, places, vehicles, night time searches,

  • CGC Urban given at the end of this class.

Freestyle Class

Cost: $180.00/6-weeks

Prerequisites: CGC
Materials: Outdoor appropriate clothing

This is a class were we work on a little bit of everything and focus on learning a drill/dance routine to music. Lots of fun tricks and music.

Reactive Rover Class

Cost: $180.00/6-weeks

Prerequisite: Private class and instructor approval.
Materials: Collar, Leash, treats. We recommend using a treat pouch.

This 6-week course gives you the management tools needed to help you and your dog cope with this and also teaches you how to change your dog's behavior using positive reinforcement.

This is a class were we work on competition Rally-O courses. Ensuring understanding of how to do each individual sign as well as putting them together in a course.
